Competition Terms and Conditions
In these terms the “Promoter” means Paramount Pictures UK of Building 5, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London W4 5YF, United Kingdom.
1.The competition is the “COME TO THE ‘RACE SONIC’ EVENT AT WESTFIELD LONDON FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A FROG BIKE”.
2.The competition will run from 10:00 am on Saturday 8 February 2020 (the "Opening Date") to 6:00 pm on Sunday 9 February 2020 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
3.All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 6:00 pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after this will be automatically disqualified.
4.To enter the competition, entrants must complete an official registration form in person at the “RACE SONIC” experiential event at WESTFIELD LONDON, Ariel Way, Shepherds Bush, London W12 7GF, United Kingdom (the “Event”) on:
•Saturday 8 February 2020 during the hours of 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; or
•Sunday 9 February 2020 during the hours of 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm
5.No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to enter the competition.
6.It is not necessary to participate in the Event to enter the competition.
7.Entrants are responsible for all costs associated with travel to and from the Event. Any costs incurred that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize (including any travel costs) are the responsibility of the winner. Although the prize does not include any cycling kit, safety equipment or other accessories, you should always wear a helmet while cycling and comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to cycling and road use.
8.The validity of each competition entry, and the eligibility of each person to enter the competition, is strictly subject to these terms and conditions, including, in particular:
a) the competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom only;
b) the competition is open to persons aged between four (4) and sixteen (16) only. All entrants must obtain the permission of their parent or guardian before entering the competition, and proof of such permission must be provided to the Promoter on request;
c) employees and relatives of employees of the Promoter or of its respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, or of any other person or entity connected with the competition shall not be permitted to enter;
d) only one entry is permitted per person; and
e) entrants must provide personal details as requested by the Promoter. Details requested by the Promoter may include name, date of birth, United Kingdom address, telephone number and/or email address.
9.The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or not submitted regardless of cause, or any other prevention of entry to the competition. Incomplete and/or illegible entries will be disqualified.
10.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
a) The winner of the competition will be selected at random from all valid entries. The winner of the competition will be announced within 28 days of the Closing Date (“Announcement Date”).
b) The winner will be notified by email, telephone or post as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date.
c) The Promoter’s decision in respect of the competition winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into in respect of any such decision.
d) The Promoter will send the first name and the city or county of residence of the winner to anyone who submits to the Promoter not later than two months after the Closing Date a request for such information and includes with such request the name of the competition (set out in paragraph 1 above) and a pre-stamped self-addressed envelope. Any such request should be addressed to the Promoter at the address given above, and marked for the attention of “SVP, Legal Affairs”.
12.The Promoter has the right to select an alternative winner if:
a) any entry is invalid, including where the winner was, at the time of entry, ineligible to enter the competition;
b) a prize is only available for a specific date or dates and the Promoter is unable to make contact with the winner within two (2) weeks of the Closing Date;
c) the winner’s parent or guardian does not agree to these terms and conditions or does not wish their child to receive the prize;
d) the Promoter does not receive confirmation of the winner’s address and/or parental consent within 14 days of any request; or
e) the Promoter does not receive from the winner all documentation required in connection with the prize within the deadline notified by the Promoter;
a) There will be only one (1) prize. The prize will be a Frog Bikes brand bicycle. Subject to availability, the winner will be able to select the size and model of Frog Bikes brand bicycle, up to a maximum value of £650. The winner will be required to select and collect the prize in accordance with paragraph 13.c) below.
b) The prize is non-transferable. No cash alternatives will be offered. The Promoter does not guarantee the availability of any size or model of Frog Bikes brand bicycle. If, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is unable to provide the stated prize(s) (including a prize in any requested size or model) the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize. The prize is subject to any additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer and/or supplier.
c) The winner must contact or visit an approved retailer of Frog Bikes brand bicycles in the United Kingdom (an “Approved Retailer”) within two (2) months of the Announcement Date to select the prize. The Promoter can assist the winner to find an Approved Retailer. Following notification that the prize is available for collection, the winner must collect the prize from the relevant Approved Retailer. The winner is responsible for all costs associated with travel to and from the Approved Retailer. The winner / the winner’s parent or guardian may be required to provide the Approved Retailer with proof of identity before selecting and/or collecting the prize.
14.The Promoter is not liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation to the winner or other entrant (and/or guests) that is caused by any circumstance beyond its reasonable control or by any act or omission of any third party.
15.Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by its negligence or that of its personnel, or fraud of the Promoter or any of its personnel (for which liability shall be unlimited), the Promoter shall not be liable to any entrant, winner (and/or any guest or parent/guardian) for any loss or damage howsoever caused (whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the competition.
17.By entering the competition, each entrant: (a) agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions; and (b) confirms that his or her parent or guardian agrees to these terms and conditions. The winner may be required to provide written acknowledgement of these terms and conditions, including written acknowledgement from his or her parent or guardian, before receiving a prize. These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of England and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
